Who it’s for

Built for the people who build cosmetics.

One delivery architecture, three kinds of buyer. Find your path in.

Indie & emerging brands

A tech-forward base, ready to build on

Formulate a differentiated finished product on a documented sub-micron delivery architecture, without building the chemistry from scratch.

Ingredient supply houses

A spec’d raw material to add to your line

A characterized, INCI-nomenclature cosmetic raw material with a spec sheet and COA per batch. Distribution and reseller discussions welcome.

Contract manufacturers

A scalable base you run independently

Spec NanoBase™ into client formulas and manufacture with standard equipment. Your process, your facility, your finished product.

In plain terms

What NanoBase™ actually is.

NanoBase™ is a cosmetic raw material, a lecithin-based carrier engineered at the nanoscale that you formulate your own product on top of. It brings the whole formula to sub-micron scale across three coordinated delivery domains. It is not a finished skincare product, and it makes no medical or efficacy claims. You add your actives, build your product, and your claims stay yours to substantiate.

The shift

Beyond HLB: 1949 logic, meet 2026 architecture.

Conventional cosmetics are still built on HLB theory, one macro-scale ratio balancing an emulsion. NanoBase™ is engineered across three structural domains at the nanoscale. A contrast in design frameworks, not a competitor claim.

Legacy HLB

1949
  • A single macro-scale ratio balances the whole emulsion
  • Droplets commonly 1,000 to 100,000 nm
  • One hero ingredient may be encapsulated; the rest stays macro-scale
  • Delivery constrained by emulsifier competition
VS

NanoBase™

2026
  • Three nano-delivery domains coexist in one carrier
  • The entire formula brought to sub-micron scale
  • Actives self-partition by solubility, MW and charge
  • Engineered on DLVO colloid science, not HLB lookup tables
The architecture

One carrier. Three coordinated domains.

A tri-domain colloid architecture in which nanoemulsion, liposomal and micellar structures coexist in stable equilibrium, so a single formula can carry oil-soluble, amphiphilic and water-soluble actives at the same time.

Nanoemulsion Domain

Sub-200 nm droplets carrying lipophilic actives with engineered kinetic stability that resists Ostwald ripening.

CARRIES · oil-soluble actives, emollients, lipophilic botanicals

Nanoliposomal Domain

Phospholipid bilayer vesicles that mimic the stratum-corneum lipid matrix for biomimetic integration and steric protection.

CARRIES · amphiphilic compounds, peptides, phospholipid-compatible actives

Nanomicellar Domain

Self-assembled amphiphilic structures solubilizing hydrophilic actives, with pH-responsive core behavior.

CARRIES · water-soluble actives, humectants, botanicals
The foundations

DLVO. Ultrasonic dispersion. Vesicles.

The same colloid science behind lecithin-based vesicle technology used in cosmetics since the 1980s, refined for nanoscale batch control.

01 · ELECTROSTATICS

DLVO-engineered stability

Surface-charge and colloidal-stability design hold the architecture together: the modern replacement for HLB balancing.

02 · DISPERSION

Ultrasonic nano-processing

Controlled ultrasonic energy drives the dispersed phase to sub-200 nm and sets a tight particle-size distribution.

03 · CHEMISTRY

Phospholipid vesicles

Non-hydrogenated lecithin builds the liposomal domain, a biomimetic bilayer that integrates with skin-surface lipids.

How it’s characterized

Declared architecture. Every batch, documented.

Each batch is characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and reported on a COA. You formulate on a known, documented base, not a black box.

FAQ

Answers before you ask.

Can I get a sample before committing?
Yes. We provide evaluation samples to qualified formulators, indie brands, ingredient distributors and contract manufacturers. Tell us the variant and what you’re formulating through the inquiry form and we’ll confirm sample options.
What’s the minimum order quantity?
MOQ depends on the variant and your stage. Sampling and R&D quantities are intentionally small so you can evaluate and formulate before scaling; production MOQs are set case by case. Share your stage and estimated volume and we’ll quote specifics.
Can I manufacture independently, or must I use your lab?
You formulate and manufacture independently. NanoBase™ is supplied as a cosmetic raw material with a spec sheet and handling guidance. Your process, your facility (or your chosen contract manufacturer), your finished product.
Who owns the IP and my finished formula?
Your finished formulation is yours. NanoBase™ is our delivery architecture, supplied to you as a raw material to build on. Distribution, private-label or exclusivity arrangements can be discussed separately for ingredient houses.
Does NanoBase™ make performance or medical claims?
No. NanoBase™ is a cosmetic raw material and makes no medical or efficacy claims. We characterize its physical architecture (e.g., particle size by DLS, reported on a COA). Any performance claims on your finished product are yours to make and substantiate.
How is “nano” handled for labelling?
NanoBase™ is engineered above the 100 nm threshold and is not classified as a nanomaterial. We provide DLS particle-size and PDI data plus a COA so you can meet your market’s ingredient and labelling requirements; regulatory classification of your finished product remains your responsibility.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on variant, volume and whether you’re sampling, running pilots or setting up ongoing supply. Send your details through the form and we’ll return a quote, no account or commitment required.
